Hello there, I be Andy Ross. I be one of the cast in this fine group of people. I was one of the original performers in its first outing, so very happy to be coming back as it combines a couple of my favourite things. One: I get to do a bit of improv comedy / clowning (what I trained in). As the audience, in its original outing, get to command the robot what to do through live feed. I get to interact with live public whilst out and about but also with the audience through the live feed camera with whatever they throw at us. And two: I love thinking about and asking questions about how humans interact with each other and technology and what this does to us. I like thought problems like that of Black Mirror (not saying this is as great as Black Mirror)... Or am I? (I'm not).... Or am I? Ok that's enough of that, probably not funny or clever. Soooo aaanyway, back to my questions I've been asked to answer.
Favourite gadget: My DS, for playing Pokemon. I'm sorry. My most used app: Would very much love to say something like Headspace (a meditation app) or something more useful. But I do love Plants Vs Zombies. Did you know there's a Plants Vs Zombies 2? Game changer... well not really a game changer just a game sequel. Crazy Dave is still there. He's hilarious. If you found his voice as funny as I did, we'll be friends. Best '80s track: Actually quite difficult to choose a favourite '80s track, as I do love a lot from that time. But if I had to choose one... Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give Y... Just kidding. But in all seriousness I love Sweet Dreams by the Eurythmics. I think it was probably my first '80s song that I loved, I also really enjoy remixes so if you enjoy Sweet Dreams and sweet ass bass you'll love this remix: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWgRKP1ejOE Omni-Science runs at the Fruit Market in Hull on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st September 2019.
